just heard on tv how stressed out america is about the stock market/etc. more than after 9/11. I say, turn off the tv for awhile and give yourself a "newsbreak" and see how much better you will feel.
Then guess what happens: you would be looking back at what you missed. This market thing is like a car wreck: its scary to look at but we can't help looking. More rubbernecking.

Yes, not a bad idea. I'm totally depressed. I have no idea what the future holds and I'm sure a lot of people feel the same way.
I went to the grocery store last night and counted every penny. I bought a bag of rice, bananas, some chicken on sale for $1.99 a pound and frozen vegetables on sale for 50 cents a box. And that's just how it's going to be.
Those who think we will soon be living inside a Mad Max movie, i.e. most on this forum are wrong. However, expect a 6000 Dow and double digit unemployment.
It is common knowledge that people go out of their way to see something bad or horrible so they can either feel alive or generally be nosy. This economic thing is so huge that people are gonna milk it for all its worth. Just you watch out for the placards and window stickers in months to come!

Actually a slanted approach to news is about all you can get, so therefore it really isn't important. There is very little information you are given that will affect any aspect of your life. Turn it off and say no to the fear.
