An interesting water revolt.

The typical scenario.

Bolivia is given a loan to bribed leader to build a money losing boondoggle like a power plant for a foreign factory.
After the default the structural adjustment puts up national assets for sale.
Bolivians lose their water.

Bechtel Drops $50 Million Claim to Settle Bolivian Water Dispute

A run on the banks won't accomplish what you think. Most money in business is via electronic transfer..they do not deal with physical money. There is not enough physical money in circulation to cover "citizen" deposits. A bank run would hurt Joe Main Street more then Mr. Corporate Guy.

The best way to revolt is to do it passively.
Don't carry debt..no debt means no interest to the banks.
Get as much off the grid as possible..less reliance on oil/gas/etc.
Buy local and keep the Mom & Pop's in business..THEY are your neighbors not Wallymart.
Buy American when possible..keep our mfg here in the US

I'm sure there's more..but this is how one could do it without getting arrested for tax evasion
