I'm not sure about this, but I believe that nobody has ever been convicted by a jury, after being caught by 'To Catch a Predator'. (A few might have plea-bargained,) If no underage person exists, there is no crime.
Actually every single individual on "To Catch a Predator" took a plea of guilty and did not go to trial. Its true they havent been convicted by a jury because there is no need to go to a jury when the individual pleads guilty.

That being said, had these individuals actually gone to trial, they might have had a legal argumet that they were not guilty because the courts have ruled numerous times that the "victim" has to be a real minor (at least in the state of Indiana), not an officer or their representative. This resulted in lower charges of child solicitation.
