Yup. I don't know when destroying something came to be considered a prank by kids. A prank is TP'ing the trees not cutting them down.

The year before I graduated, the prank would cause havoc today. Kids brought alarm clocks all set to the same time and put them in the lockers. They went off and we all rushed out into the halls. Today, they would evacuate the school and arrest the kids for emulating a bomb.

It's sad that it has come to that but we have no choice but to assume the worst to keep the kids safe. Far better to assume a clock is a bomb and act accordingly than to assume a bomb is just a clock. Our kids don't get why they are not supposed to leave their backpacks out in the hallway (they're not allowed to bring them to class). Someone could drop a back pack full of explosives off and we'd assume it belonged to some kid who was too lazy to go back to his locker.
