What
do you want to talk about? Questions and answers is a very good way to learn English. Questions that begin with Do, is, does, what, who, where, when, why, how, can, will, etc. Ask specific questions, get complete answers and have a ________ to English and English to ________ dictionary handy.

Ok. There is a book by Betty Azar. I think the title (name) is Fundamentals of English Grammar. On this forum, you will find people willing to help you, but you must do your homework. If you want to practice, you can come on here and ASK questions. For now I will ask you a question or two:

Where are you from?
Are you married?
Do you have children?
Why do you want to learn English?

(When you answer these questions, use the question to answer in complete sentences) For example: Q: What is your favorite movie?
A: My favorite movie is Star Wars.

Yes. That is very good.

The most difficult thing about learning English is the verbs. In other words, what form of a verb (tense) to use for what meaning. The first ones to learn are present (fact), present continuous (something is happening right now, past (something happened and now it is over), and future (something will happen, a plan or a promise). There are other tenses, but start with those four.

You will need a list of irregular verbs (verbs that use different forms for the different tenses than regular verbs do). If you get the book that I mentioned or any good English Grammar book for foreign speakers, it will have a list of irregular verbs and their forms.

Some regular verbs are, walk, talk, cook, like, love, hate, etc.
I walk to school everyday. (Fact, present tense)
I am walking to school now. (happening now, present continuous)
I walked to school yesterday. (Something happened and it's over, past tense).
I will walk (I am going to walk to school tomorrow). (WILL is a promise... AM GOING TO is a plan).

I
YOU walk, are walking, will walk, are going to walk
HE, SHE, IT walks, is walking, will walk, is going to walk

WE
walk, are walking, will walk, are going to walk
YOU (plural = more than one person, are... (same as above)
THEY (same as above)

There are many irregular verbs that do not follow this rule. Often they are very common verbs, and the only thing that you can do is learn them.
For example:
PRESENT ....................... PAST
write ............................. wrote
eat ................................ ate
speak ............................ spoke
tell ................................ told
drive ............................. drove

You need to get a list and learn them.

Then practice by using them in different forms. You should read children's books and magazines, and you should write a lot... Reading and writing are the two easiest so do them first. Listening (understanding) and Speaking are more difficult.
