Here is the same simulation link but it contains what this new stadium will feature and the architects who are behind the design. Now this same group of people design Pacific Bell Park aka AT&T Ballpark in San Francisco so you know it is going to be a great attractive stadium; El Paso is surely going to have a World Class Triple AAA Stadium of our own.
Hopefully the stadium will seat more than 7,000 capacity, say more like 11,000+, but these is only the preliminary design, for those of you that never have seen San Francisco's AT&T Ballpark, it's a Dandy of a stadium and El Paso's stadium will be something we can all be proud because it is our stadium and our city.

Just look at the portfolio from this architecture firm. That says enough.

Default Too small...

Yikes, it looks outgrown already! It looks to small to me. I'm not knocking the look of it, but have you noticed that there is no room for expansion anywhere? Unless they don't plan on expanding it any shape, or form, then it is okay.

HTBU! these are just the preliminary renderings of what the new stadium might look like;I agree that the stadium is way to small for a Triple AAA baseball team.
So I would at least hope that the designers get it right the first time when the final plans become official; considering that the city hall property is relative small to begin with, Maybe they could expand the balcony to where there would be a 5,000 capacity seating on the second level and a 9,000 seating capacity on the ground level.
If they are going to do it right then they should build it right without any flaws, this rendering still looks awesome for a Triple AAA Stadium, but it does need improvements.

Why would you need to expand a baseball stadium?

Also, keep in mind that Cohen Stadium only has 9700 actual seats. Yet, for fireworks and other promotions, it has had as many as 13,209 people in attendance.

I am sure there will be a similar feature at the new stadium.

Not expand the stadium but build it right the first time; It has to be way better than Cohen Stadium, better than Isotopes Park In Albuquerque, El Paso has to make a statement. These are only the preliminary drawings; so by March of next year the final plans should be out, every city wants something nice for a change, not something mediocre.
Now picture this new baseball stadium, the Civic Center in the middle and a state of the art Arena at the south end of the convention center, El Paso's better days are ahead of us.

I agree with that. Once built, considering it is a baseball stadium, I don't think there is any need to worry about expansion. The Sun Bowl on the other hand...

It looks too big, and an eye sore. Remember, this is farm team baseball. Not to mention funded on the backs of the tax payer. The entry fee to every game should have a surcharge to pay for this monstrosity.

You have a right to your opinion. I think it looks great. I also think it looks far better than the sham of a building we use as City Hall.

Correct. The highest level of MiLB. Only 30 markets in the country have AAA baseball teams. 10K is an appropriate number of seats.

28%, at the most, will be funded by the tax payer.
