Hi Everyone!

We live on the outskirts of El Paso and go OFTEN to the Las Cruces market in their downtown area. Was wondering if anyone else goes!

People we meet and talk to say that El Paso has nothing like it, so they enjoy the drive on the back roads and shop at the market.

Their downtown area turns into a "city within a city" each Saturday. Even Wednesday, even though there are fewer vendors, is a great place to visit. The hours are 8 am to 12:30 pm each Sat and Wed.

Then we enjoy some nice enchilada plates in Mesilla at Los Mariachis etc.

Anyone else been there?? If not, you are missing one heck of a market with so many neat crafts like unique hand-sewn items, clothing, Southwest Kettle Korn, Ocotillo Coffee Roasters, New Mexico Soap even has a booth there! And we love the fresh veggies and fruit stands, silver jewelry, many different earring/necklace makers

Thanks for posting, did not know about this. I will make sure to try and get out there and check it out.

Well El Paso has 2 things something like that.. at the old NorthPark Mall, they have a area they set up for a Farmers Market and Swap Meet type thing.

Then on Dyer closer to Fort Bliss is the huge Flee Market... or at least there was.

The LC one is not a swap meet. It's quality, hand made items by local artisans. Just so you'll know!!

When is the one at the old North Park Mall? I recall the Joann's Fabrics and Crafts there. It was a great store!

It was a great store.. I Believe its on Sundays.. next to the old FURRS at North Park.. they converted a huge part of the parking lot to the Farmers Market. I'll get more info and post it for you to save you the long drive. =)
