What do you think the pros and cons would be if the city took over the PSB's storm water utility?

I have to run an errand, will be back to read the comments. You just opened a thread that will go on for days about the pros and cons. I just hope things stay civilized. For the record, I am for PSB being placed under City Council but I will be back to explain my reasons. Put on your helmet!

Can the city govt afford to even look into the option right now?

The issues are the lack of transparency, no accountability, out of control salaries, top heavy in bosses, they raise rates w/o any discussion, take money from the city coffers and keep their receipts from stormwater fees. We all know that services are not free, that repairs are needed, and their competence. These are not the issues although that's what the proponets push. Whatever happened to the "This is a border town wage rule". Guess it doesnt apply to them. One more thing, the Mayor stated the city council didnt know how to manage the stormwater utility so why is he the Chairman of PSB?
