Ohio man plans to build $180 million state-of-the-art cancer treatment facility in El Paso - El Paso Times

The article talks about an Ohio developer that plans to build two $180 million facilities to treat cancer with proton therapy-- one in Dublin, Ohio and the other in El Paso. Both would be over 100,000 square feet and create 100 jobs and there are only five such facilities in the country. Also according to the article, the Dublin, Ohio officials have agreed to put in infrastructure like sewers, roads and telecommunication wiring on 32 acres of land and give developer Daniel M. Slane a tax break of up to $2.5 million. This is a great opportunity for El Paso and the Medical Center of the Americas! Even if it has to offer land, infrastructure and tax incentives. I know three clowns on the city council will vote against any incentives to bring this state of the art Cancer treatment facility. The usual corrupt suspects in Melina Castro, Eddie Holguin $ Rachel Quintana.

If the rats that ran this country would give tax breaks to every company that did business here things would be better. Instead we have guys avoiding taxes getting breaks and still getting promotions.

Funny but if it was a normal person we'd get no mercy from uncle sam.

The following article provides more insight. It appears that the city and REDCO are in very preliminary talks with the developer.

El Paso may get $100-million-plus cancer treatment center - El Paso Times

Why El Paso? If in Texas, why not Houston, Austin or Dallas?
