The new tower looks huge and impressive compared to the existing buildings. My understanding is that the Children's Hospital takes up most of it. All we need now is a burn unit instead of sending patients to Lubbock.

It's an addition to Thomason - the big building under construction at Raynolds/Alameda that you cant miss from the I-10.

On Google Street View there's a gray three- or four-story building under construction at the northwest corner of Raynolds and Alameda that looks kind of like a parking garage. That's not it, is it?

The initial plan to come up with solutions to deal with the El Paso Children's Hospital's multimillion dollar debt to University Medical Center has hit a roadblock.

The special financial committee between Children's, UMC and El Paso First is no more.
