I have ben trying to find a nice pool for my family to go to. I was told that there is a really cool pool with the zero entry and a section where the younger ones can play. They said it had like a mini slide and the other typical play things in a toddler type of area. Where is this place??? Any other good pools, outdoor and indoor? Thanks bunches, any help is appreciated!

I only know the UTEP pool....indoor. Nice Zero Entry for kids, well separated from areas where older kids/adult swimmers would be. You probably are not looking for that since it doen't have a slide.

If you can get on Post, the pool out at Biggs is real nice for kids.

I had to look up what that meant, lol.

The pool @ the YMCA in NE doesn't have a slope, but it does have a really long wheel chair ramp that doubles back on itself. A lot of the little ones play over there b/c they can touch the bottom.

Zero entry is where it gradually slopes into the water, like at a beach. It's nice to have at the pool, then you don't have to worry about the whole steps thing and small kids. Doesn't sound like a good combo to me hehehe

The original poster seems to be describing Armijo pool on Ochoa (downtown).
