I'm a fan of UTEP's colors/logo but those numbers on their football jerseys are hard to read. I can't tell 8 from 6 from 9....maybe I need glasses

It doesn't bug the crap out of anyone else that the graphic design company that created the "newer" Pete made him a panhandler and not a miner? We're not the UTEP Panhandlers.

Because the logo you currently see is a man wearing a hat that is meant to shade one's head. The old Pete was wearing a miner's helmet (correctly).

Last time I checked, there's not much sun in a mine to shade one's self from.

We had a ceramic miner from what was originally known as Texas Western College. My eldest brother is graduate.
