Ron Paul is a real conservative. Not like Bush or Reagan (fake conservatives)
NOPe, not really. I don't think many would say Bush was a conservative, at least not Bush the second. Reagan was conservative in many ways. I am not saying right wing, religious, over the line conservative but conservative. Yes, he raised taxes but he also took conservative stands on issues.

expanding the debt and escalating the military complex isn't really a conservative stance... neither is passing an immigration reform act with no measures to enforce it
throughout history (pre-reagan), conservatives have been for reducing the military, not interfering in global conflicts, reducing taxes, reducing debt, encouraging economic growth through cutting governmental programs and spending... also they have typically been in favor of individual liberty over governmental control
However, what we see today is Reagan republicans that "hijacked" the term "conservative" and molded it into a pro-big government, wasteful spending, military behemoth, global affairs interfering, socially dictating (individual rights destroying) monster. The idea that these people consider themselves "conservative" is really sad...
Due to Reagan Republicans, there is only one party to choose from-- the pro-big government party.
Laura, watch Chris Wallace also. He does great interviews, is fair, very objective, but doesn't beat around. If he asks a question he expects an answer but not in the condesending way O'Reilly can ask a question.

I forgot that Ron Paul was on the Sunday show. Bret Baier has also interviewed him as part of his profiles on candidates.
Little does Fox News know but Ron Paul supporters have taken over the republican party just wait and see.
Limited government and freedom and the economy will run this campaign and Ron Paul will wipe the floor with the rest of the so called canidates.

Ron Paul supporters make up the majority of the Republican Party ? So why is he in 4th place in the Republican primaries ?

So "real conservatives" are pro-open borders, pro-legalization of crack cocaine, pro-legalization of same sex marriage, pro-abortion, etc. So how does that distinguish "real conservatives" from liberals ? Since liberals also support all of those things as well.

Real conservatives are for expansion of an individuals freedom... also for limited government spending, leading to sound "hands-off" economic policy. How can anyone call someone a conservative who severely increases America's national debt during his term in office?
Liberals are for government control and big government
Those issues you point out are minor issues. The best stance Ron Paul has is his outlook on limiting government spending... it isn't all talk either (like it was for Reagan and Bush)-- he has been consistent in his stance and voting for over 30 years.

Those are not minor issues at all to social Conservatives who make up the majority of the Republican base.

Fail.
Ron Paul is not pro open borders or pro abortion. Also as far as drugs and gay marriage he isn't exactly "pro". He's pro someone's right to do those things. He doesn't personally advocate that activity.
His book Liberty Defined sums up his views on pretty much everything imaginable.
