At any rate, I don't think he was an uber successful governor.
Maybe we should find us one of those and encourage them to run.
Well if you're looking at governors, Gary Johnson improved his states economic ranking the most in this election, it has gone downhill since he left, but he's getting snubbed. Perry inherited the best state economy, and it isn't as good as it once was, but its still ranking on top. Huntsman took Utah from 10th to 9th, maybe that's worth looking at. MA has been between 1 and 2 in higher education for decades. Maybe that's worth something for Mitt, or maybe it was just like that before he got there. I'm more interested in the economics side.

CE magazine has been fair with their rankings. They rarely play politics or pick sides. They just want to make money. So here's a good look-see for anyone. http://chiefexecutive.net/best-worst...s-for-business

LOL! I really would love to see Mitt answer that!
"I took a state that had the 24th best economy in the US and when I left, we ranked 47th!"
I don't think you can hit a homerun (governors, businessmen) every time you get up to the plate but I at least want to know you didn't just warm the bench (lawyers, Congressmen) for 9 innings. My post says "Describe your successful experiences..." leaving that up to them to pick the do-er success story they want to tell.

No, it's not true.

Massachusetts has consistently ranked about 13th in GDP by state going back to 2005. Mitt Romney was governor of Massachusetts from 2003 to 2007.
