The Cato Institute - fairly conservative group...not high on Perry. They see him as another Bush Warhawk. Did we not learn our lesson. Lets not be Neoconned again.
He will make George Bush look lovable to those who hated him.
I never hated him. He was not a neo conservative. The problem is that Cheney was and so were most of his advisers. They needed a social conservative to get the Christian fundies. He was very likable. He had a sincerity about him. There is not a sincere bone in Perry. I am amazed that so many do not see this.

I see it quite clearly. I can't believe so many people are jumping on this bandwagon without the least bit of intelligent research.

Face it, the race is Paul against the neo cons and which Perry is the current front runner. Just look who he hangs with and seeks advice:

Worse is the role of Bush cabal, highlighted by former Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld, who apparently put Perry in touch with several of the others, Undersecretary of Defense Doug Feith, and NSC staffer William Luti — all architects of the catastrophe known as George Bush's foreign policy. Gov. Perry's reliance on these people suggests a proclivity for promiscuous and reckless war making.
