It was the same in 2008, when McCain voters were called angry old white bigots.
Alright, some people will always care.

This board is gay booster central and in no way representative of mainstream America.

The president has done more for gay rights than any president. I don't think the gay community will overlook his efforts. It's nice he sees people not sexuality. He knows people carry many facets and each one has brilliance to be displayed.

Perhaps some should take the lesson and extend it to seeing beyond a president being black, but some of the other factors, hard working, directed, dedicated, and able to deliver what he promised.

It's a very important issue to me. I'm not homosexual nor bisexual, but I have a few friends who are homosexual/lesbian. I think it's a major injustice and believe it's the principle that government shouldn't get involved with these types of issues. Of course though the economy and foreign policy are far more important. However, I'd say I think this issue is more important than illegal immigration.

Republicans: "We promise to create millions of jobs and get the unemployment rate much lower"

Yet their only proposals have been about same-sex marriage, abortion, stripping benefits from fire fighters who worked on 9/11, stripping seniors of medicare, stripping students of financial aid etc.

Hm...if one of the conservative candidates announced they were gay & looking to get married, maybe it would be an issue.

But they tend to just get caught in men's restrooms...

I sure as the heck hope not. There are many more important issues than gay rights or gay bashing for our coutry to consider. I would hope people would not choose their Pres based on his/her stand on gay issues or any other such issues truthfully.

At least he has proposals that have saved jobs at the least. Had we continued on the track or with McCain I think you would see unemployment well over 10%.

When you have an incompetent cook in a kitchen throwing flour everywhere it will take a great deal of elbow grease and time to clean up.

Job saving efforts :

Auto bailout
reducing mortgage interest rates
the mitigation of mortgage efforts
cash for clunkers
the various banking efforts
-low interest rates, bail out....
and so forth....

What have the repugs done during all this? dug their heels in on the budget and get our credit downgraded. great job there.

What have the repugs proposed to make or keep jobs? - it wasn't their attack on The Affordable Health Care Plan

Did he attain 8%... not yet. He will get that before the Repugs do anything good for this country.

Well, there's a lot of ignorant Americans (a lot), so yes, it may be an issue.
