I still don't understand how anyone could discredit evolution.
But I'm fine with prayer.
The immigration thing is still a glaring negative.

A glaring negative, yes - a deal breaker, maybe. However, denying evolution and sharing the beliefs of dominionist ministers - definitely a deal breaker.

As a Houstonian, I can tell you that immigration will be the least of Perry's worries. Perry's biggest issue will be Perry being Perry and the Republican's biggest issue will be nominating a person that is such a turnoff to so many independents.

I tend to agree. His extremes concern me (along with a few other things). I am just not sure you can only carry the south and win.

His lack of believing in evolution really doesn't bother me one way or the other. It is a non issue when it comes to our country. I happen to believe in both creatism and evolution and I don't understand how anyone can totally discredit evolution either.

I think if a candidate can carry the entire south and a few other key states he/she is very electable. Too many people still downplay the importance, in todays world of the south. As it grows it becomes more important.

For those who say he isn't likable? Well, I am surprised, but then I think Obama in unlikeable and that is one place his rating are high, likeability. I guess it is all in how we see things.
