Perry, of course, said no, which is crazy, considering how many people all across the country have been set free from Death Row.

Cameron Todd Willingham had no reason to set fire to his house and kill his children, maintaining innocence till the end. After reading his story, I have to agree with him.

Exactly how many times are you guys going to tell this lie?

Odanny, you are either ignorant or a liar because it is a balled faced lie that Rick Perry "executed" anyone.

Further it is a factual error to suggest that any Texas Governor has the power to stop an execution on his on. Period.

which is it, are you ignorant of Texas law or are you just telling lies?

Americans always seem to look for simple solutions, like killing convicts, deporting the unemployed to other countries, etc.

No he could not have. this has been dealt with in the last week right here on C-D.

No the liberals are not upset about that. They were upset that George Bush "killed" a bunch of innocents but they are not upset at Obama for doing the same.

I posted this in another insipid thread on this subject.

Just so those who like actual factual truth get some...

in the state of Texas, the Governor of the state can only grant celmency if the Texas Board of Pardons recomends shuch action. Other than that the Gov. can only grant a 30 day stay. if the 30 days exprires without a court action, the execution proceeds.

The Texas Gov. does not have the power to just grant anything he wishes in relation to executions.
