Bachmann made good points against Perry, but in her typical stupidity with the mental retard nonsense, negated any credence she may have had.
She did go a step too far with that which can be her downfall at times, but she did a good job of tying him to Merck and upon further investigation, he is extremely indebted to Merck.
good post but imho i think the accusation was underhanded and intended to smear.
the technique is to make yourself look good by making others look bad. she should have learned by now this often backfires. women (and men) that use this type of approach in debate usually have short careers.
Rick Perry is supposedly a conservative. Gee, what would induce a conservative to order manditory HPV vaccinations of every schoolgirl 11+ in his state???
As far as I know - the media told us that Governor Perry was the front runner. Michele Bachmann came in first in the Iowa straw poll and Rep. Ron Paul came in second. The media ignored the only results (showing Perry in sixth place). The day after the straw poll we were told that Perry was our frontrunner.
Maybe he will be when NH votes? I would rather go by the actual numbers than the information that a slanted media feeds us. I miss the old days when reporters tried to give unbiased reports.
This primary process is good because it helps expose these candidates before the generals. I don't agree with the lumping of debates, though, right now (there's another one next week). If anything, we should be lumping debates toward January, right before each major primary.
That said, Perry is being exposed more and more as 'anti-Tea Party' values than people first thought. I am sort of reminded of Trump when he was thinking of running and was leading in polls. That was before more and more got discussed about his contributions and viewpoints. But then once the birth certificate was released, it was game over for him.
I agree his answer was not good, especially considering he had to know the question would eventually come up. The only thing I can think of is that since is very same issue came up in 2010 when he was running for governor, he really does believe that it's been vetted and he didn't do anything wrong. However, even if that's the case, he had to know it would sound terrible.
Anyway, as I've said we'll see how far this can propel Bachmann or Romney back up. I know Bachmann is certainly jumping all over this while she can.
Bachmann will soon be just another name I feel. She may get enough out of this to help her for awhile, but she uses the same wording over and over and refers to the same issues over and over, no matter what she is asked. This will get tiring after awhile plus constantly picking on one candidate might backfire. I still think it is a race between Romney and Perry.

gee, it is amazing this subject has been posted and discussed about 4 or 5 times in the past few weeks, now you decide to post pretty much the same thing.
I don't like him, but will be voting for him if he is the republican nominee.
this mentality is why the country is where it is.
vote for who you like, not who you hate less.
your vote is meaningless with that mindset.
