Of course Ron Paul is an isolationist. The reason you are not aware of this fact is because you do not know Ron Paul's voting record. For the last 30 years Ron Paul has voted against every free trade agreement ever introduced, without exception. Coupled with the fact that Ron Paul wants the US military pulled out of all foreign nations and located solely in the US by definition makes Ron Paul an isolationist.

Ron Paul is another Kim Jong-Il wannabe.

So he uses it correctly to what end? If you had to give a prediction right now on how well he shows in the primaries what would it be?

Wolf Blitzer has a base?
If you paid attention to the debate, Ron Paul's answer wasn't about death, only Wolf's leading question.

Maybe it seems that way to you, and people like you who only look at the names of bills, but don't have the patience to look beneath the surface of a corrupt piece of legislature.

I suggest it is YOU who does not UNDERSTAND the issues well enough to realize that Ron Paul's voting record and positions are very egalitarian and pro-business -- both foreign and domestic.

With regard to so called "free trade" agreements, don't you realize that they have caused the ruination of our manufacturing sector and job base in this country????????? Ever hear of a guy named Ross Perot who ran for president who warned us that if the "free trade" agreements like NAFTA was passed there would be a "giant sucking sound" we'd hear with corporations leaving this country to relocate abroad and taking jobs with them??? Wasn't he RIGHT about that? So OF COURSE Ron Paul would vote against "free trade" agreements because the free trade agreements ARE NOT ABOUT FREE TRADE and they in no way shape or form are beneficial to this country.

You need to learn that the names of the bills generally indicate the opposite of what the content of the bill actually says. So called "Food Safety" bills have NOTHING to do with food safety for example.

To what end? Are you serious? Isn't it quite obvious? It is too early to tell about the primaries but I think it will be more along the lines of what the cover of TIME showed at the outset of all the races.

OMG! Not another "I think he can, I think he can" Ron Paul thread!! The man has no chance - none whatsoever - for myriad reasons, first among them: he's too freakin' old.

He just ACED the CNN interview! He gave the PERFECT answer to refuting the stupid thinking that terrorist hate us because of our freedom by pointing out two things: 1) There are PLENTY of other countries that are FREER than we are. If they hate us because we are "so free", why aren't they going after these other countries like Switzerland? 2) He again reminded the interviewer that in letters from the terrorists themselves, they have stated over and over that what they hate the most is our being over there; the occupation; our bases. DUH!

Now maybe we can GET IT THROUGH some of our THICK STUBBORN DISBELIEVING heads, that it might NOT be such a good idea AFTER ALL to be the war monger of the world. Our behavior as such might even be, as Ron Paul has said OVER and OVER, making us LESS SAFE.

Look at Ron Paul, now look at the other Republican candidates...look back at Ron Paul, and look at the other candidates again.
Unfortunately for a majority of them, they're crazed and he isn't.

I don't agree with half of what Ron Paul says, but if I were to be forced to choose among them, he or Romney are the only candidates that are in any way palatable.
