Suck it righties. In a year you should win, you are trailing in the polls. If that doesn't tell you the American public doesn't like what you're selling, nothing will.

Some people just aren't smart... they are just plain stupid... do you not see the TREND? Obama was winning by double digits in July... his lead is in the single digits and the lead is incredibly small (4-5 percent) and primary election for the party nomination hasn't even started yet... Its no wonder the country is falling apart when its in the hands of liberals... they can't see 2 second ahead, all they can do is look back and wonder what happened after they ruined everything... like Obama...

The Republic Party's approval ratings are at 33 percent, the lowest ever of any major party in the history of modern polling. Obama was being beaten by many Republic candidates a few weeks ago -- now, he leads. It's because while the country is not happy with the state of the economy and are looking for a different direction, they're still not happy with what the Republic Party is pushing.

Based on the economy, BO should be down 10, so this thread is spot on. The TP is the sole reason he is in a position to win, and his odds at 270 are better than the poll data when one looks at the swing state demographics, as most are more centrist or center-left than US overall.

I'm against the job he has done, but his latest stimulus/tax comment "It's about math" seems better used with GOP apologists who cannot count to 270.

I think he started at 75% approval and is now 39% and dropping.

Oh yea, he is really well liked.

Obama was never being beaten by many Republican candidates in polling...ever. Perry was tied in a few and maybe led in one. Romney has been the only candidate leading him overall. For a sitting president who is supposed to be so well liked, to be this close to the Republican candidates when they just basically started running their campaigns should scare the Democrats to death and it does. They are trying their best to figure out what to do with Obama at this very moment.

The fact that Obama's approval is in the low 40's and yet he leads every GOP candidate in virtually every poll should show how poor the GOP candidates are.

He is going to lose big, if he evens gets the nomination from his own party...And that isn't even looking very good for him. I am not a rightie as you call, but you can suck on that.

That is really not an indicator of the candidates, but more of how the party is fragmented right now. If that is what you mean, I agree. If the party doesn't come together as unified in the end, they have problems.

His not getting the nomination is what I am really thinking is a possibility. It is very tricky for the Democrats though. They could end up alienating a whole segment of their voters.
