IMO Perry doesn't think like that. The man is no wallflower. He's been governor of Texas for 10 years and politics is not for wimps in Texas. He won the 2010 Republican gubernatorial primary election by defeating the formidable U.S. Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison.

I very much like his approach to illegal immigration, and I think it's time the GOP took a deep breath and stopped being so narrow-minded and started welcoming the illegal community and get busy turning them into Republicans, a much more natural fit for many of the family loving and religious Latino community.

I agree, I talked to a friend on the phone last night who lives in AZ and is so conservative she makes me look like a socialist and she think Perry is right on the immigration issue and educating the kids.BTW she is not supporting him at this time.

Maybe she isn't supporting him because she saw him in the last debate.

According to this article, from a financial standpoint, everyone except Romney, Paul and Perry don't have enough $$$ dinero to go the distance anyway. Considering how Perry does in debates, you can pretty much count him out. That leaves Romney and Paul.

The Associated Press: In GOP race, Romney, Perry, Paul are the money men
