He is not the official nominee until the primary is over. Right now he has only submitted his application and gone on a few interviews. You don't quit your job until you have a firm offer for a better one.
I just thought about that ealier today, he isn't the nominee so that is another reason he would not resign his present position. That could be political suicide plus leave him without a job if he were not to get the nomination.
Maybe Ron Paul should run for Governor of Texas next time and get some executive experience.
