West Virginians vote tomorrow to elect a governor. Acting Gov Earl Ray Tomblin (D) has blown a big lead in the polls, and the race between him and Bill Maloney (R/TP) is considered "too close to call".

Why does he have to become a Republican? You vote for a letter and not the policies and visions of the candidate?

Because he caucuses and votes with the Neo Progs, that's why. Agreed, if Manchin doesn't switch parties, he may lose.

Obama's anchor chain is wrapped around a lot of Dem ankles right now. The Dems had an opportunity to raise a primary challange this summer, in the wake of the Debt Ceiling fiasco, and they passed, sooo... guess they're prepared to go down with the ship!!!

On the bright side for us Lefties, the GOP field for 2012 still looks like a midget wrestling team
