People voted for Obama based on what he said rather than his record.

Do we actually know what Cain did or did not do or do we only know vaguely about there being accusations and a settlement? Perhaps the OP would like to provide a link as to what actually was done?

I doubt it, but I really don't know exactly what he said or did. Do you?

Yeah, I'm anxious to know exactly what he is supossed to have done. I've only read that he put his had up to a ladies chin to indicate how tall his wife was...and that is not going to result in a payout. Something happened, and it happened more than once I'm guessing, or money would not have changed hands.

Actually, lawers routinely settle these for five figures to make them go away.

The woman's attorney even concedes this was handled with a phone call and a couple of faxes.

Nobody was deposed.

Sometimes there is a payout just to avoid court costs. Hospitals do it all the time when they know the payout will result in less costs than the court costs. Sad but true.

I believe that is where the term 'ambulance chaser' came from.

I would like to know how the allegations came to be public knowledge.

Does Cain, and or his job, get the money paid back they settled for?

being "aggressive" and using "innappropriate gestures" in and of themselves...even inviting someone to an apartment is not sexual harassment.

Not taking no for an answer, and doing it continually or in a threatening way is.

From what I gather, he did not continue this behavior, at least there is nothing that I have read or heard to indicate this.

What's the difference between the handsome guy and the ugly guy? The aggresive, inappropriate gestures handsome man gets laid while the ugly one gets accussed of sexual harrasment.
