Of course we know you are a fiscal conservative and you prefer to run up 800 billion in debt. {R}s like you give conservatives a bad name.

What is wrong with finding common ground? did Reagan work with Tip O Neil? how about Bush that you voted twice for that said Teddy was a great legislature and how he likes to work with him. Your selective Alzheimer's made you forget that right?

I do not give a s*** about Barney being gay and he has been way wrong on a lot of issues, but sometimes he has been on the right side.
Anyone who sides with a progressive like Frank and lets the membership of that committee be 11 progressives from places like CAP doesn't deserve any of my support. Besides that Paul is not a conservative, of any kind, and he doesn't think he can be nominated by the GOP but is willing to beat somebody else out in order to help Romney as much as possible and I don't want Romney.

What is this $800 billion of debt? Would that be about Bush? I don't remember supporting him but I just couldn't vote for the people who ran against him. I have stopped voting for Democrat socialists, starting with George McGovern and all of them since him have been too far left for me. The party left me sitting when they nominated him in 1972 and have been nominating too far left ever since.

Wonderful !

We should cut trillions out of defense spending. And trillions more out of other government programs.

Ron Paul in 2012 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He is the only candidate that has the balls to reduce government spending and power.

The mediaa does not like him, or give him the time of day, and I really doubt he is electable.
We are very near on the reasons why Paul isn't acceptable. His willingness to go along with all those progressive people (11 out of 14) on that commission is what tore it for me.

And he would be running against a candidate just the opposite of what you say other than defense. I am sure Obama beats Paul without even making any promises.

Most people in this thread don't realize that Bush tried to get something done about Fannie Mae and Frank was at the top of the "There is nothing wrong with Fannie Mae" about a year before the el foldo began.

Ron Paul wants to define life as starting at conception, build a fence along the US-Mexico border, prevent the Supreme Court from hearing cases on the Establishment Clause or the right to privacy, permitting the return of sodomy laws and the like (a bill which he has repeatedly re-introduced), pull out of the UN, disband NATO (http://www.house.gov/paul/congrec/congrec2004/cr033004.htm - broken link), end birthright citizenship, deny federal funding to any organisation which "which presents male or female homosexuality as an acceptable alternative life style or which suggest that it can be an acceptable life style" along with destroying public education and social security,, and abolish the Federal Reserve in order to put America back on the gold standard (http://www.house.gov/paul/congrec/congrec2006/cr021506.htm - broken link). He was also the sole vote against divesting US federal government investments in corporations doing business with the genocidal government of the Sudan.

Oh, and he believes that the Left is waging a war on religion and Christmas, he's against gay marriage, is against the popular vote, opposes the Civil Rights Act of 1964, wants the estate tax repealed, is STILL making racist remarks, believes that the Panama Canal should be the property of the United States, and believes in New World Order conspiracy theories, not to mention his belief that the International Baccalaureate program is UN mind control..

You should understand your links better or at least read them without the talking points.

I really think that Paul, as the highest ranking Republican on the committee that appointed these people sold us out because as Beck says the $1 trillion in ten years they agreed to cut would have been ok if it hadn't been such a heavily progressively leaning group.

I forgot to say that I have been against Paul for this very lack of performance since I know what CAP and the others really are. Of course, Paul has had his name on too many racial mentions in his groups, too. I am hoping that anybody but Paul comes out of Iowa in good shape.

In case you can't figure out what they suggested we cut I can get you a link to too much of that.

Panel commissioned by Barney Frank recommends nearly $1T in defense cuts - TheHill.com
Although I did read your link, your thread is invalid because you started it with"According to Glenn Beck"..Everyone but the craziest of crazies knows Beck is mentally challenged and irelevent to any discussion other than what meds to take for insanity that DO NOT work...the king of the crying RWNJs.

I agree with Frank...we should cut the defense budget to the bone and pump it into things we really need in this country...defense is not something we need to spend on...we have enough weapons to turn the earth to ash as it is.

Of course Ron Paul isn't electable. Look who is and HAS been electable for the past 4-5 decades. And the American voting idiots wonder why nothing ever changes. LOL. Paul also reached across the aisle to Frank to get legislation passed that would decriminalize and legalize marijuana...........oooohhhhhhhhh oh no..........god forbid we have people being able to smoke pot if they want to!!!!!!!! The old guard is doing whatever it can to maintain it's fraternity like grip on this country........but the youth of the America are waking up fast........hence why Ron Paul has so many young supporters.......they see what the old fuddy duddy farts in Congress and the White House have been doing to their country the past 50+ years while everyone else keeps voting these clowns into office. We can't wait till these old codgers war mongers like McCain start dying off.
