Well repubs, you are going to have to put up with Obama for four more years

Poll: Obama holds edge over GOP hopefuls - Political Hotsheet - CBS News

"Romney's drop in support against the president is attributable to a shift among independents. Last month, independents favored the former Massachusetts governor by eight points over Mr. Obama. In the new survey, Mr. Obama holds the edge, leading Romney among independents by nine points."

Obama 48%
Romney 42%

Obama 49%
Santorum 41%

Obama 50%

We've had several months with good job reports and there's been a lot of infighting in the GOP. Of course Obama is doing better in the polls.

Need I remind you that the election is still nine months away? The part of the article you quoted says there was a significant shift among independents in one month. If there can be that significant of a shift in a single month, why are you so confident that there won't be any shifts in nine months?

What was the poll?

Who can get votes with the dumbest catchphrase and then fail miserably? HOPE AND CHANGE!

The independents don't like the GOP candidates after they got to know who they really are.

And this is certain to not change over the course of nine months?

Independents are always shifty, going back and forth until the end. That's why, in part, they're independents. (and right now, there are lots of embarrassed Republicans who call themselves Independent to avoid humiliation.)

The tide done turned, but it's not all out yet. If things are swinging upward in the middle of winter, what's it going to look like when spring arrives and most work really starts? With Europe trapped in a monetary crisis that may take as long as 10 years to settle down, what country stands to profit the most for it. Here's a clue- it ain't China.

add in a dash of big bank desperation. For over 4 years, they've been hoarding the money. Now bills are underway to make them move it or lose it. Watch the high mortgage rates of the bubble get modified, watch more small businesses start getting operating loans, and watch more start-ups getting some development loans from the banks that were too big to fail.

Here's some facts: In the past century, there were 3 deep depressions. The first was in 1890, and continued well into the 20th century. It truly ended in 1916. The second was in 1930 and lasted for 10 years. And this one, which has been going on since October 2007.

At the end of the first two, America came roaring back within a year, and the economy tripled in size afterward. All the world conditions are just right at present for this recession to do exactly the same.

And by November, Americans are not going to vote in a newbie who could muck it all up. Bush has not been forgotten.

Genuine swing voter independents are a tiny, tiny minority of overall independents who mostly vote partisan but split a few tickets. Like 5% of the electorate at most and they're all the lowest-info voters around who largely decide in the last few days. That's who all these campaigns are aimed at, really. Idiots.

Even moderate Republicans don't like the current crop of Reagan wannabes. Many who were voted in as Tea Party candidates are now being rejected due to their extremism and obstructionism. The DC street department should start sweeping at K Street and not stop until the only people left are those willing to compromise for the greater good.

I'm just curious, each repub candidate has there own followers, where do you think those followers are going to go when the final rebup candidate is picked? Do you really honestly think they are just going to not vote? Just walk away?

Will some just walk away, yep, they will but I would say the most will back whoever the repub who is picked in the end....

ETA.......

Obama vs any republican.....

You left wing loons seem to lose all ability to comprehend when you get even the faintest whiff of good news. And then you twist that small bit of good news into an avalanche of misguided translations.

FACT: The debt ceiling will be raised by obama to $16 TRILLION this month.

FACT: The government has GROWN in size since obama became president. When our debt dictates that government spending should SHRINK...he and the democrats GREW it.

FACT: the obama administration has done NOTHING to alleviate the burden of REGULATIONS on business that prevents manufacturing jobs from coming BACK to America, and prevent expansion of the companies who are still here. In fact, under obama, there have been MORE regulations issued that literally insure that new business...much needed business....will not come here. It doesn't matter at all that the banks will be forced to loosen their grip on $$ as you seem to think...it's the REGULATIONS that are preventing growth in the private sector.

FACT: We have a country in debt up to it's eyeballs...just how in the HELL do YOU see the United Sates taking advantage of the Euro money crisis?? Do you realize that the value of the dollar is continuing to shrink every time the debt goes higher?? Do you realize that CHINA is the one holding most of that debt? Yor notion that the United States will somehow maneuvre to a position to take advantage of ANYTHING is stunningly ignorant.

FACT: The tide has not turned. The unemployment figures are skewed because they do not count Americans who have run out of benefits. Much of the spike in the econmic indicators are from sales at the end of the year...CHRISTMAS TIME!! Meanwhile, gas energy prices continue to climb...meaning that the cost of FOOD is and will continue to climb. The FED is manipulating interest rates to try and sustain some assemblance of a recovery. The housing market STILL has not bottomed out, and foreclosures continue to rise. And you shout that the RECOVERY IS WELL UNDERWAY??

FACT: You DELUSIONAL *******s make me laugh!!
