The word from the ground in NV is that Romney is winning by a wide margin, with Paul and Newt at 2nd and 3rd.

We can only wish, but I doubt it.

Paul's doing well so far! Way too early to tell much, but a strong second place finish in a state with proportional delegates wouldn't be a bad thing at all.

I also think it is interesting that thus far Romney is under performing relative to how he did 4 years ago. With only 4% in he has lost 2 counties for sure (100% reporting). Last time around he only lost a single county.

Nevada is very similar to New York and Illinois. It's all about the biggest city. So much of Nevada's population is concentrated in Las Vegas that Romney or anyone else could lose everywhere else in the state and still carry by a landslide.

I like what I'm hearing so far. Ron Paul is doing very very well. (The polls were way off on that one!) I definitely wouldn't mind seeing this be Paul's first outright win.

More than anything, I hope it hurts Gingrich. I'm so sick of that media **** stealing press coverage from absolutely everyone else, especially Ron Paul.
