So if he says it enough times, does that make it true?

If we can keep the illegals out of the voting booth in Nov then Romney has a good chance of winning ther hispanic vote. Law abiding hardworking latinos arent looking fo handouts from Obama

They also aren't looking for Republicans to marginalize them, either.

Only if he clicks his heels together when he does it.

The Puerto Ricans he needs to be worrying about are here in the 48. The other Hispanics he needs to worry about are the Mexican-Americans. The Puerto Rican primary is meaningless...he's being silly to even mention it or use it as a measuring stick for greater Hispanic sentiment regarding Republicans in this country.

That said, the GOP does have some basic appeal amongst Hispanics....especially the hardcore Catholic types. But they need to broaden their appeal beyond that group. It'll be easier than it'll be in the black community.

Illegals out of the voting booth? Seriously?

Uh...NO! He doesn't have a good chance of winning the Hispanic vote. And why did "hardworking Latinos" vote for Obama last time?

Obama's approval ratings amongst hispanics number in the mid 60's percentile.

Now there is no doubt in my mind that Romney is totally FOS.

How many "Republicans" voted in the Puerto Rico GOP primary? Under 115,000? That's about 25 percent of all government employees who work for the PR governor who is one of a handful of real GOPers on the island. Their jobs depend on their loyalty to him. I'm pretty sure a lot of them were "voluntold" to go vote for Romney.

Romney didn't utter a single syllable about statehood while he was down in PR. That is what about half of them want. They could care less about Romney, Santorum, etc.

And Romney is pointing to his "victory" in PR as proof that he's good for Hispanics? Unbelievable! What a bunch of BS.

Well, I'd say that law abiding, hardworking Latinos also want respect. They don't want their culture, traditions, language and relatives trashed and belittled.

Example: This is the respect a Latino gets in Mississippi, Republican country http://news.yahoo.com/5-southern-mis...0904--spt.html

And Marco Rubio isn't going to attract a lot of those Latinos either.
