From Gallup tracking poll...Obama up by 50% on Job approval. Here is the link.
Presidential Job Approval Center

They also give a good comparison between the past eleven presidents before Obama.

If these numbers were for some old angry white guy you'd be cheering. Yeah, we know.

1 out of every 2 Americans thinks Obama is doing an alright job, this is major bragging rights to rub it in the face of the other 1 out of 2 Americans.

Just stating facts. This country was left in a dismal state after the Bush years. President Obama has managed to turn things around. Unemployment is going down. The economy is improving.
OBAMA 2012 !

OBAMA 2012 !
Did you miss today's jobs report? Yes the UE rate ticked down slightly...because of people dropping out of the labor force. It was a pitiful report.

I'd bet his approval will fall a bit over the next few days.

Our economy is in a dismal state because of things both Democrats and Republicans have done over the past few decades. And, no, Obama has not managed to "turn things around" IMO.

How dare you look at the actual amount of people employed. The government has every right to manipulate numbers by saying they are no longer unemployed if they gave up looking for work.

Prez job approval at this point in the game:

Carter, April 1980: 38 pct.
Clinton April 1996: 52 pct.
W Bush April 2004: 51 pct.
Obama April 2008: 48.5 pct (RCP avg).
HW Bush April 1992: 39 pct

If Obama stays fairly close to the 50 pct mark I'd say he probably wins re-election. Only about months ago he was around 42 pct. I don't know how he is close to 50 with things like Solyndra, Fast & Furious, and trillion dollar deficits, but he is.
