Ron Paul is a massive loser. He hasn't been able to win ANYTHING in a race with conservatives. He'd get his backside handed to him in a general election.
Ron Paul has NEVER been elected to ANY STATEWIDE OFFICE. The truth of the matter he is one of the worst campaigners for the presidency in modern American history.

Quite frankly it doesn't take much for a guy to keep a congressional seat as long as he keeps the pork flowing to his or her district and doesn't get caught in an embarrassing political position that alienates the folks back home.
