According to the Philadelphia Metro daily newspaper, Obama raised $53 Million in March 2012. The shows a jump in the fundraising over the previous month.

What is interesting, according to the article "More than 567,000 donors gave money to Obama's cause and 97% of the donations were $250 or less ..."

The article noted that the Obama campaign and the Democrats raised more than "$45 million in February ... and a combined $29.1 million in January."

My editorial comment: These political campaigns are getting too expensive. I think this kind of fundraising activity is getting out of hand. I personally see nothing wrong with making additional limits on the maximum amounts individuals, organizations and corporations can contribute to a political campaign. I also believe if the primaries and national conventions were moved to later dates so that we won't be subjected to year and a half long campaigns, it would be a good thing.

Jointly, with the DNC. Usually 20-25% goes to the DNC.

In March of 2008, obama alone raised $56.7 million. Hillary raised $35.8 million in the same month.

$92.5 million.

Where are all the dem donors?
