Possibly ominous news for national Republicans with tea partier Mourdock leading Lugar 10 the weekend before the primary. I think conservatives may be coming close to shooting themselves in the foot again if Mourdock is too crazy to get elected and Democrat Joe Donnelly takes it

Great news! The establishment (both Democrats and Republicans) hate the fact that the people are supporting "extreme" candidates. They are worried that their ideologies have failed and are being rejected. The Tea Party is highly organized and well funded, the 2012 elections will further shift the neocon Republicans further right.

Taxed Enough Already. End these wars. Balance the budget. Equal opportunity for all Americans. Audit the Federal Reserve.

The guy is a two-term state treasurer, well known. The GOP will hold the seat.

Lugar needs to go.

I like Lugar, but I also like Mourdock and have no doubt either will hold the seat. If the nominee were Lugar though, we would not have to invest any resources. We will probably have to spend a little just to make sure Mourdock is safe

Please keep with that mentality. It worked quite well with Angle and O'Donnell

Otherwise this is downright hysterical and I've never heard anything like it before from the OP's link:

"Some Republicans have encouraged Democrats and independents to vote for Lugar in the open primary."

LOL! They are basically saying "Come on guys, vote for Lugar. If the tea bagger wins the nom we are going to lose to you. So please vote for Lugar so we can beat you, thanks!"

What an effen' joke!
