If that's what you consider big money, you know precious little about politics.

But we already knew that.

I'll bet Romney is skeered.
Romney give the man his money back! 2500 hundred is big for Obama. He gets many much smaller grassroot donations than romney

Thereś only 2 possible outcomes with Obama conveniently saying he is for gay marriage. Either heś definitely sure he will win, or he's in deep hot water and most people don't realize it but him and is trying to rally the base

So, it is Romney now? Or just bitterness speak?

I'm sure any politician hates to lose any support, but I really question how high profile Mr White is, really. I also question how tightly he was tied to Romney, since White had been considered for Obama administration position over the past three years.

His background is in Museum management and arts fundraising in NYC. Charitable dollars is the basis of his consultancy. Not all that different from being in Hollywood. Does appear to be supportive of our service men and women, and civilian safety folks. Still, all in all, artsy, fartsy.

This defection story seems much like Ms Fluke, the 'bullying incident', war on women, Liily Ledbetter, ad nauseum All much ado about nothing. Merely distractions, from Mr Obama's failure in leading the resurrection of the capitalist economy. Like many things, if you don't understand something, then you will not perform well.

His bio, in part, from Wikipedia.

In 2008, White was mentioned as a possible nominee for United States Secretary of the Navy for the Obama administration. His nomination was supported by Hugh Shelton, a former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and Jerrold Nadler, in whose congressional district the Intrepid Museum is located.[3] The post eventually went to former Mississippi governor and ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Ray Mabus.
In June 2009, The Washington Times reported White to be considered for Deputy Chief Management Officer for the United States Department of Defense, which would make him the highest-ranking openly gay person in the department.[4]
In 2010, Bill White founded Constellations Group, a strategic consulting firm that advises corporations, foundations, and high net worth individuals with their business challenges and philanthropic endeavors. The firms' mission is to support to the brave men and women of our armed forces and first responder communities and their families [5].
