You are assuming automatic competition. Why do conservatives believe there is no such thing as collusion (their rationale for deregulation)? A consortium of banks can act like a monopoly. Total deregulation allows them to merge totally into a true monopoly.
I have no idea who is calling for total deregulation or how that argument has anything to do with anything I said. I said if a bank fails, another bank will fill the vacuum. That has nothing to do with your rant.

Well that's an assumption you're entitled to - possibly correct under present policies. Progressives want reform and investigation of the Fed which is secretive, owned by private banks, has boardroom bankers as its own "regulators", is exempt from audit and scrutiny by the American people. This, among other things, is why the Right denounces and debases progressives who want changes (such as campaign reform) in the status quo.
I won't single out particulars here as me may disagree on the fine points but as a general thing I want the same thing.
Quote:
* The mainstream media, with few exceptions, is not progressive. It is conservative corporate-owned with its views pushed in many markets.
* "Fox" is metaphoric for right-wing media. The people who believe it is "fair and balanced" are equally at fault. It takes two. Yeah Obama has acquiesced too much and many are puzzled by it but I don't see a connection with Fox. To say I blame Fox for "everything" requires clarification.
This thread is growing whiskers anyway. Don't know if I want to continue.

* If you listen to conservative media you are being disingenuous in this.
* Try to digest my statement on monopolies.
* I have a life. Plenty of better threads and posters with only so much time.
Some people, especially right-wingers, post for ego trips - mainly to jerk others around in circles. They call this "debating skill" and "testing their mettle" (I have 'em in my family). It's a game to them, where facts and truths mean nothing. To gain pleasure they must ignore much of what their "opponent" says, and twist things just to get a response.
It's a wasted effort for people who are more concerned about truth and solutions.

I'm perfectly capable of coming to my own conclusions.

So, what were these truths and solutions? You are speaking to me, not some contrived boogymen.
I'm going to go with the idea that if you have it's one of very the few things you have ever figured out.
So now we really degenerate into insult. It's okay, I just consider the source. Better to respond to the OP anyway which is about the teabaggers being under-bus-tossed, or at least opinions of Walker and the teabaggers.
My opinion is that the tea party (which is not a party) may outlive its usefulness to the billionaire Walker base.

Yes. If you are going to direct questions to me and want an answer do not dismiss it with a worthless statement and waste my time.
Wouldn't it be a sign of hope if Mr Obama disavowed any, any one of the questionable groups supporting him. Looks like Mr Walker is just showing some semblance of principle here. Is there an instance of the same for the current President?
Nope, he is too busy being a race relations counselor, father of alledgedly offended young women, just like his daughters, defender of mothers and having sons, just like....nevermind.
What happened to the OP? Musta crawled under a rock after he posted such a lame thread....
