Sorry, but a legal military deferment is not draft-dodging, much as you'd like people to believe it is. Either you're really not particularly well-informed on most of these issues or else you just figure the rest of us aren't. But thousands upon thousands of young men got deferments during the Viet Nam war. There were many of different situations permitting these deferments. People who defected to Canada were draft dodgers. You may not like Romney, but posting inaccurate information is certainly not going to help your cause.
Im sure those thousands didnt include most of the 99%. I can bet you that. To try and say otherwise is dishonest at best.
In a news interview Romney attempted to compare his service to his church to a Nam vets experience in combat as being the same. Romney is a scumsucker trying to horn in on the decorated service of a military combat veteran.
Serving your church in place of serving in the military has no comparison.
Draft dodging was done several ways. One way was to become a career student with the support of family money. Romney's daddy paid to keep him out of the war. That's draft dodging in my book. A person who avoids service to his country and who is able is a coward.
Most of the group I grew with enlisted, but I believe there were two drafted and one was 4F. One of our group had a scholarship to Dartmouth that had to be used immediately. He graduated Dartmouth and then enlisted and became a naval fighter pilot decorated for his service.
Romney who is a guy who ran away from a fight. However Romney had no problem organizing a group of thugs to harass and beat up on a single gay person. Today Romney is flapping his gums about going to war. Why should he worry about it? He won't be going and you can bet your bottom dollar none of his children will be going to war either.
That won't stop him from sending your children to fight and die.

Which brings up the pesky question of Obama's draft card....
Obama would have been age 18 in 1979 and after the Vietnam war the draft system was put in suspended animation. The miltary could meet its manpower needs by enlistment and we were at peace. Manditory registration with your local draft was stopped and with that no need to issue a Selective Service card! So that answers why Obama would not have a draft card.
