How can you say it was a great victory? It was neither, if the election had replace a Republican with a Democrat I would agree, but it didn't and it means very little either way. Now, can you tell us how and why this was a huge win for the Democrats or why you think it means much, when the seat was already held by a Democrat?

Barber worked for the previous Congresswoman that was shot in the head. He was standing next to her at the time and was also shot. She endorsed him. This was a sympathy vote. End of story. The district that Barber won is going to be redistricted for the November election and it will become more democrat. He will have an even easier victory then. There was never any chance for the GOP to take this seat in November.
