No surprises here.

The KOS? You're kidding.

I wouldn't click on a Kos link for love or money.

2 questions.

#1 Did you read the Kos article?

#2 Did you actually think about the quote from the Republican in PA or did you just take the Kos' opinion straight up?

Quote:
House Majority Leader Mike Turzai (R-Allegheny) suggested that the House’s end game in passing the Voter ID law was to benefit the GOP politically.

“We are focused on making sure that we meet our obligations that we’ve talked about for years,” said Turzai in a speech to [Republican State Committee] members Saturday. He mentioned the law among a laundry list of accomplishments made by the GOP-run legislature.

“Pro-Second Amendment? The Castle Doctrine, it’s done. First pro-life legislation – abortion facility regulations – in 22 years, done. Voter ID, which is gonna allow Governor Romney to win the state of Pennsylvania, done.”
Turzai, right or wrong, believes that there is massive voter fraud...and that eliminating voter fraud will win the state for Romney. No where does he say in the quote that he wants to suppress legitimate voters. The above statement is 100% in line with his previous beliefs on voter fraud. There is no scandal or controversy.

What the Kos is doing, is taking a single sentence not in complete context and then spinning their own meaning to it. It is a dirty trick that fools a lot of people who should be thinking more. Kos is literally manufacturing a scandal out of thin air with no basis in reality - probably because they don't care for the truth and they are worried about Obama's chances.

It is no different than this FoxNew employee Glenn Beck hit piece on Obama -- proven wrong here. Kos is actually worse than foxnews, at least foxnews occasionally lets the other side speak up if only briefly.

Next time you complain about Glenn Beck, remember that you read the Kos -- same difference.

haha we now know why repubs are trying to bring Eric Holder down. Eric Holder is fighting the voter ID laws. Maybe this kind of video evidence can be used in the court of law to strike down all such laws in all states before November.

So what - it's the content which is important. So the Kos says stuff you, as a right-winger, don't like. The progressive media is need to expose 35 years of repug lies - long overdue.
If the Repug Party told the American people what they were really about, they would never win an election - so they must resort to any little trick they can think of to gain an advantage.
Repugs know that the fewer people voting, the better chance they have. Their hope is that they can disenfranchise hundreds or thousands of legal voters along with a couple of ineligibles, especially in Democratic areas. Then in a close election they have their "fast five" Supreme Court.
It doesn't take the Kos to expose this, though it helps. Just keep reading the Blaze for the "fair-and-balanced" stuff.

Something to think about: Why did the Democrats so obsessively and maliciously pursue Richard Nixon over the Watergate scandal? Was it because they believed bugging their convention would ruin McGovern's chances of victory in the election? Was it because the GOP found out secrets that would ruin the Democratic Party forever? Was there material uncovered that would create a serious threat to national security? Or was there a higher, nobler cause in their single-minded pursuit of a standing President?

No on all counts. The Democrat witch hunt against Nixon was all about the R next to his name and the D next to theirs. Democrats wanted to unseat Nixon because he was a Republican. His guilt or lack thereof was the excuse and not the real reason. The Republicans would have done the same thing to a Democrat without a second thought. And if Eric Holder was the Attorney General for a standing Republican president, the Democrats would mercilessly and obsessively pursue the "Fast and Furious" scandal.

And be honest. The biggest reason you're sticking up for Holder is because of the D next to his name. You would not be so charitable to a Republican with the same scandal hanging over them.

This is why selling your soul to either party is just stupid. It destroys your ability to use your brain fully when it comes to politics.

Yes context is important, and Kos is taking it out of context and putting it in their own. Right or wrong, Turzai thinks voter fraud is rampant in PA, it exists, but probably minimally. Cheerful Happiness is a real voter, but . . . - Philly.com

The repub governors engaged in this do not believe there is any rampant, or even significant, voter fraud. This is a coordinated effort from Repub Central, with the hopes that the number of eligible voters in certain areas will be reduced.
This is akin to right-wing mailings to voters sending them to the wrong polling place, or telling petition signers via robocall that they need not vote in the Wisconsin recall. Fact is repubs cannot win without cheating or misleading voters.

There aren't many people who were unaware of the intention that Turzai states. Keeping people from voting can only help the GOP and the 40-50 people that employ them.
