Romney has hired Michele Davis to spin Romney’s record of outsourcing jobs and laying off workers when he ran Bain Capital. Davis also worked with former Treasury Secretary Hank Paulson, under whose leadership the U.S. economy faced near-collapse.

A 2008 profile described Davis as Paulson’s “right hand woman.
Davis worked for the Brunswick Group PR agency as it handled the fallout from the Gulf oil spil on the behalf of oil giant BP.

I find this unsavory. Does Romney still not understand that anyone affiliated with either BP or Skank Paulson leaves a really bad taste in the mouths of many? Romney seems to be oblivious to the fact that the public is privy to this info.

Well Ms. Davis certainly has experience handling major disasters.

In fairness, Davis didn't stay at the Treasury Department too long. She left there to go to....Fannie Mae in 2002. You remember Fannie Mae, right? That's who the right likes to blame for the housing bubble.

Before that, she worked for Dick Armey, one of the corporate bagmen who co-opted the Tea Party movement right out of their name. Later, she held several positions in the Bush administration.

Another member of Team Bush signing on with Romney.

Can what you'll get for your Romney vote be any more clear?

The more I hear about this guy, the more I wonder what his game plan is. "Screwing the common folk." comes to mind.
And by common, I mean those who are the lower, middle and poor classes.

Republicans are using the cheating spouse tactic. Whatever you do, don't admit any wrongdoing. Keep pretending like it never happened, even as you step over the bodies with an innocent look on your face, and you'll do better in the end. What first wife? I don't recall any first wife. Never happened.

Bad actors have used this lady and that company for many years to find ways to spin their bad actions. Not just Repubs in the US, the spin doctors have been needed by Dems, American Companies, and foreign entities all over the world.

Yeah pretty much. Burson-Marsteller is about as close to a real life Mos Eisley Cantina as you can get.

Their list of clients is almost cartoonish-

Nicolae Ceaușescu
The Argentinean military junta
Union Carbide after the Bhopal Disaster
Tylenol after the cyanide poisonings
Three Mile Island
Hosni Mubarak after the Egyptian government murdered a bunch of tourists in the 90s
Blackwater
FARC in Colombia
Indonesia after the East Timor Massacre

Seriously, one would almost expect to find COBRA Command, Lex Luthor, and the NSDAP retaining their services. If Pol Pot hadn't been such a grouch, he probably would've used Burson-Marsteller.
