The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Monday shows Mitt Romney attracting support from 47% of voters nationwide, while President Obama earns the vote from 44%. Four percent (4%) prefer some other candidate, and four percent (4%) are undecided.

These results are based upon interviews conducted nightly and reported on a three-day rolling average basis. As a result, two-thirds of the interviews conducted for today’s update were completed after it was announced that Wisconsin Congressman Paul Ryan will be Romney’s vice presidential running mate. The announcement so far has had little impact on the numbers. See tracking history.

Most voters (56%) continue to favor repeal of the president’s health care law. A majority of government employees oppose repeal. However, most private sector workers favor it.

Just 25% believe the bailouts of the U.S. financial industry were good for America.

Only 27% believe it's ever appropriate for the government to make investments in private companies.

Sixty-six percent (66%) believe most government contracts are given to the company with the most political connections rather than the one that can provide the best service for the best price.

Said it before, and I'll say it again, the only polls that matter are on election day.

Now that the GOP is going to try being to the left of the dems, "who's left" should get interesting.
