They're claiming that tougher voter registration rules in Florida has led to a sharp decline in democrats registering to vote. Maybe they're just registering as republicans instead? Maybe they all got registered for the 2008 election cycle and there were only 11k new dem voters registered.

355,419 voters in 2008

139,404 voters in 2012

Yeah, that makes sense having about a third of the voters in 2012 in a state that gained nearly three million people in the last ten years.

Maybe it would make sense if you actually read and understood the articles instead of pandering.

And maybe you know what you're saying. You don't, though, and they aren't.

But that is voter registration, not voting.
And the restriction on the registration part was that these groups that do mass registrations had to turn their paperwork in within 48 hours.

Those are pretty low numbers though. Are potential Democrats such a helpless group that they cannot register by themselves ? And Florida even offers online registration where you can print out the form and mail it in.

You have to be registered to vote? The GOPs voter suppress attempts, which have slowly been overturned by courts, have attacked all parts of the voting process, from registering, to staying on the rolls, to voting. They are one of the most disgusting things I have ever heard of in politics. Manipulating laws to create advantages for one's own political party goes against everything a democracy is supposed to be. Why are Republicans so against people voting?

Are Republicans finally going to admit that this voter fraud scare is a partisan hack job meant to disrupt Democrats from getting to the polls?

Or maybe we need to revisit OH where almost all the Republican leaning districts got extended voting hours and at the same time almost all of the Democrat districts were denied.

Add the impact of the Citizens United ruling and there you have it--an election bought, paid for and delivered to the GOP. Democracy at it's finest.
