I just read that they are changing the venue for Obama's speech to a smaller auditorium citing weather, but actually because they can't fill the stadium and don't want it to look empty.

Actually, they made the mistake of holding the convention in a Right To Work State, which p!$$ed the unions off!

Not enough union members to drive those buses full of 'paid for' worshipers!

All the speeches I saw were quite good, some great. They accomplished what was intended, get the Dems fired up for the campaign. It was also good to see so many loudly touting the many accomplishments of the first 4 years.

How can Democrats expect get away with ignoring what's on everyone's mind?
They can't talk about the economy, or deficits, or energy. Unemployment is still over 8% and expected to go higher (and that isn't even the real number, which is more like 14%), they alone are responsible for the $5 Trillion that Obama added to the national debt, and Obama has done everything to hinder our oil and gas business, and has been shutting down coal fired electric plants. They have no good news to tell about.

GM may be "alive" (Biden) but it is still on life support, and has not paid back a dime of the tax payer's money.

Morsi and The Muslim Brotherhood now rule in Egypt, and the entire Middle East is threatened. So what if Osama Bin Laden is dead! We are in more danger now than ever before, and our men and women are being murdered by our so-called "peace partners."

The only thing they can talk about is abortion and birth control (two things which should not be placed in the same sentence together). This is what they must do to destract from the mess they have made everywhere else!

Wait till Elizabeth Warren gets up there and starts telling business owners once again why, "You didn't build that!"

Can you show proof of that ridiculous statement??? I didn't think so..the FACT is NOBODY should want religion in their GOVERNMENT!

""""And, maybe today's Dems could explain why they are so totally different from what the Democrat party USED to be.
Ya, unlike Republicans a who are exactly the same as the Reagan Republicans????LOL! What have you Republicans got against learning history??????

Exclusive: Democrats Drop 'God' From Party Platform

Guess what? God’s name has been removed from the Democratic National Committee platform.

This is the paragraph that was in the 2008 platform:

“We need a government that stands up for the hopes, values, and interests of working people, and gives everyone willing to work hard the chance to make the most of their God-given potential.”

Now the words “God-given” have been removed. The paragraph has been restructured to say this:

“We gather to reclaim the basic bargain that built the largest middle class and the most prosperous nation on Earth – the simple principle that in America, hard work should pay off, responsibility should be rewarded, and each one of us should be able to go as far as our talent and drive take us.”

The Brody File has calls into DNC to explain why God’s name has been dropped from the platform. Some critics will suggest that when you have planks in your platform that support abortion rights and gay marriage then it's no wonder that God's name would be dropped as well.

So your goddy guy doesn't like abortions or gay marriage but LOVES tax cheats, greed, WAR (especially war), oppression of middle class workers, eliminating social programs to help the poor , criminal activity on Wall Street, accumulating more money than one could ever need just for the sake of accumulating money at the expense of others, abuse of the environment...etc.

....tsk , tsk...I don't think I want your goddy guy running things...sounds nasty...
