Sept. 11 is on Tuesday. Who benefits from this event politically? While no one wants to exploit tragedy for political purposes, it is undeniable that the Sept 11 memorial will inevitably remind the American people that it was under Barack Obama's leadership that Osama bin Laden was killed.

Therefore, this will be another good week for Obama. I expect his poll numbers to stay elevated, basking in the glow of patriotic memorializing, maintaining the bounce he got from the convention.

Poor Romney. I'm sure he wants to take credit for bin Laden's death, but he just can't. LOL....So this will be another lost week for Romney. If the Dems can keep this momentum up week after week - putting Romney on the defensive - it will be onward to a 2nd Obama inaugural. See you there!

Neither will benefit.

The convention went great for Obama, yes. How about that jobs report?

Wow. Way to not exploit the tragedy of 9/11 for political purposes.

The 9/11 anniversary will happen whether you like it or not. And people will be reminded of who got bin Laden, no matter what you say. Facts are facts. If the memorial happens to benefit Obama, that's just incidental. All I'm saying is, the schedule is not in Romney's favor. There are only 58 weeks to election, and every week counts. Next week will be a lost one for Romney, so that's one lost opportunity for him. Campaigning will be muted from both sides, but Obama being the president will have the advantage of being visible and looking presidential in New York, while Romney will be in hibernation mode. Tough luck.

Yeah, sounds like a thread you'd read on Al Qaida's website.

This is a disgusting thread. Politicizing the death of 3000 Americans?

I tried to rep all three of you, but was only able to rep Zimar.

Really, ndfmnlf, I can't believe you think in terms of politics when talking about 9/11. Good lord.
