People are always most attracted to the great swooping offensives in military history, but in truth the real test of tactical genius is in the rearguard action after a defeat.

So here's to the Romney supporters at the forum: you lost the battle, but you're conducting a hell of a fighting withdrawal.

You can be sure of succeeding in your attacks if you only attack places which are undefended. You can ensure the safety of your defense if you only hold positions that cannot be attacked.

Analysis of election factors points to Romney win, University of Colorado study says
They have correctly modeled the outcomes of 8 elections, they have still to actually predict anything. Their models weren't developed until after 2008.

Carter: Lost due to poor performance in debate
Dukakis: Lost due to poor performance in debate

Once again, if you honestly believe Romney is a better debater than Obama....you need to get your head checked.

Both the Carter and Dukakis losses were due to THE ECONOMY- one bad, the other good. The Willie Horton thing did not help Dukakis either, but he had already lost due to the economic improvement.

I guess you did not watch the previous democratic debates. Hillary swept the floor with Obama. In the last presidential debates, McCain refused to dispel the insane things Obama was saying. Obama had a lot of umms.....umms...... and pauses. He looked terrible.

Obama is no debater and he will be defending a record which is impossible to defend. The debates should be hilarious, particularly with the fact checker the day after.

This election is about the economy. Libs can wish all they want that the economy does not matter, but the fact is that 78% of voters say it is THE MOST IMPORTANT ISSUE to them.

Bo is gone

If she swept the floor with him she would have got the nomination. Thanks for writing!

You'll have to jog my memory - is that Sun Tzu in The Art of War, or Peter Sellars in The Mouse That Roared?

I am a very sane person, and I am voting for Romney.

I abhor Obama, and I feel that anyone who votes for him is insane.
