But it smells like fresh apple pie compared to the necrotic administration of the last GOP team. When voters think of GOP rule, they think of Bush. They are not as dumb as you true believers would like them to be.

Romney-Hood will get crushed during the debates. He's on the ropes and Obama is about to throw that KO punch.

I see this year's election as being more like 2004. A vulnerable Bush was matched against a weak Democratic candidate, and was able to pull off a win.

Obama is certainly vulnerable on a number of fronts, but Romney is a weakling.

I think this is the best comparison I have heard. Romney has just not been able to make a compelling case. Typically, a president with such a weak economy would be toast, but I think that the voters know that the GOP option is worse. They need only remember Bush. Romney and the GOP had a chance to reinvent themselves, but I see nothing to distinguish the current GOP from the manifestly corrupt and incompetent party that led out country to ruin in 2000-2008. I don't think it is fair to blame all the failures on Bush, some were a long time coming. But that was a horrid presidency, and Romney has done nothing to demonstrate his would be better. And Ryan? Another Palinesque choice.

What happened to the poll thread? I thought all new threads about polls are to go there?

Why hasn't this thread been merged with the sticky at the top about Presidential polls?
