This latest poll shows President Obama has slightly increased his rating with American Jews over the past six months. He now holds a 70-25 advantage, nearly identical with his winning margin in '08:

Obama Extends Lead With Jewish Voters

This is evidence that the Omney campaign's efforts to erode Jewish support for Obama, by claiming the president has been "soft on Israel", have fallen flat.

PS- Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu will appear on Meet The Press Sunday, no doubt doing everything he can to influence the US election for his BFF Romney.

Gallup Poll: Jewish Support for Obama Plummets

In the first significant drop in Jewish support for a Democratic Party candidate in over two decades, President Barack Obama has seen a 10-point plunge in support among Jewish voters, according to the Gallup polling agency.

To put the decline in perspective, Obama is pulling in the same support among Jews as Michael Dukakis, the former Massachusetts governor who lost to George H. W. Bush in 1988.

Gallup notes the 10-point drop is "five points worse than his decline among all registered voters compared with 2008.”

Specifically, Obama currently has the support of 64 percent of Jewish registered voters, according to Gallup. This is 10 percent less than the percentage of Jews who voted for Obama in 2008. Republican Mitt Romney enjoys 29 percent support among Jews.

The move is significant because American Jews have been bedrock supporters of the Democratic Party for decades. Often regarded as instinctively liberal but hawks on support for Israel, Jews are a key voting bloc in Florida, one of a handful of high electoral vote “swing” states Obama must win to defeat Romney. Their votes also could make a difference in a close race in Ohio or Pennsylvania.

The Republican Jewish Coalition notes the 29 percent of Jewish voters who support Romney, represents the “highest level of Jewish support for a Republican presidential candidate in 24 years.”

Good try, but Gurbie's data is an update to your quote. It notes that Obama has recovered from the "depths" you try to make us believe are still current.

It says it's increased over the last 6 Months, but my poll is from June...which contradicts his.

From his link:

"according to unreleased Gallup daily tracking poll data"

Unreleased...why? Because they probably don't stand behind it.

"obtained through a Democratic source"

LOL......biased much?

Funny how Gallup suddenly started showing improved poll numbers right after Axelrod threatened them and the partisan DOJ files a lawsuit against them isn't it?

Liberals want to ignore the fact that quite a bit has happened recently:

1) Obama refused to meet with Netanyahu

2) Jews watched Democrats BOOING the inclusion of Jerusalem as the Israeli capital at the DNC

3) Jews see that although he couldn't meet with the Israeli PM, he does have time to meet with the Muslim Brotherhood President of Egypt.

4) Axelrod threatened Gallup because their polls weren't favoring Obama and then suddenly the DOJ slaps them with a lawsuit in an effort to influence their polling

I got a feeling MOST American Jews don't identify with that nation's RW fringe. And, they are the only ones who get to vote in our election.

Soooo... If you are correct, we should be seeing Obama's rating with the US Jewish community start to fall, then, right?

Let's keep an eye on that!
