His biggest lesson, meanwhile, is that “you can’t change Washington from the inside.” Wait a second. In the 2008 primaries, his whole argument with Hillary Clinton was over this exact question. She believed that you can change Washington from the inside and Barack Obama said you couldn’t.
For example, in a Nevada debate, Obama said he wasn’t a very organized person. But that didn’t matter because it was the president’s job to inspire people. The presidency “involves having a vision for where the country needs to go . . . and then being able to mobilize and inspire the American people to get behind that agenda for change.”…
Obama won that fight. But as president he conspicuously failed to inspire people, save for the tea parties who proceeded to drive a historic victory for the Republicans in 2010. For example, after over 50 speeches, statements and addresses on ObamaCare he never made it a popular piece of legislation.
And now he’s saying he had to learn an idea he never subscribed to was wrong. How introspective of him!
Romney isn't an "outsider." He's the consumate "insider." His staff are drawn from entrenched D.C. interests. And if you're going to make reference to the President's comments, do so honestly ... and accurately. The extremists / racists haven't a legitimate issue they can articulate as to why the President shouldn't be retained in office ... so they make-up stories and tell lies. That's a clear sign that Romney won't reach the finish line.
It's hard to "pwn" someone for saying something that you yourself had said almost verbatim in the past.
"I don't think you change Washington from the inside." - Mitt Romney, 2007
The last several seconds of this video has Romney saying the exact same thing he's now criticizing Obama for saying. Romney on changing Washington - YouTube
Obama basically admitted that he cannot do anything in Washington. Of course, we have all seen that over the last four years. Oddly, other presidents, who had far lower representation in the House and Senate, were able to do much more.
Obama admits that he is incompetent and cannot change anything in Washington. Priceless!
You two fail to understand that Mitt Romney has never been on the "inside" of Washington. Not only is Obama POTUS for crying out loud, he was already an insider as a senator! That gaffe by Obama is probably one of the funniest ones ever. He admits he CAN'T get anything done (which is fine with me, btw, because the things he wants to get done are all bad for America.)
Very nice. And entire thread praising the platitude that Romney will change Washington from the inside.
Well, how does he plan to do that? He wants to change Washington but he can't even change his campaign.
He claims to want change but only proposes the same tired help the rich, trickle-down, and trickle on, policies that Republicans have embraced for decades. These policies, are merely doubling-down on the same ones that Bush enacted, that were abject failures. Now, Romney hopes that we do not remember what disasters those policies were.
So, how many legitimate issues can you articulate as to why the President shouldn't be retained in office? If none, oops....what does that make YOU?
Maybe extremists and racists can't think of anything, but non-extremist/non-racists can think of many reasons why Obama should be kicked to the curb.

This has the stench of one of those RWNJ chain emails that people pass on without checking the facts. I looked at the first three and they were completely wrong. It would take me six pages to refute this but frankly it isn't worth my time.
