Romney had an interesting approach. When confronted with a position like his 5 trillion tax cut (sorry that is what a 20% reduction yields), he just denied it. "Who me? I'm not for that.". How does Obama counter something like that?
Because he straight up lied...
Romney said at RNC convention that he was going to cut taxes by 5 trillion dollars.
As an obvious Obama supporter, I am going to be honest.
Obama looked very distant, tired, upset, irritable and even physically weak or ill.
This was NOT his best performance. I almost could not watch it entirely through. I was just in shock.
I felt like if someone told me today on short notice that I would be substituting for Obama in this debate, that even *I* would do better. I felt like my hamster could have been standing up on stage and he would have got more support than Obama for being cute and fluffy and munching on carrots.
What the **** was that ****? I wonder if it is because of his wedding anniversary but I doubt it. He just seemed like he got into a bad fight with Michelle or maybe someone from his campaign.
I will still be voting for him. No doubt about it. Once again, these debates are for Independents but I was beyond bewildered. Just sad. Very sad.
Kudos to Romney. He did great tonight. I was not ready for this.
I don't know if hamster is the greatest comparison, but I agree.
Romney performed better. He was more polished, smooth, and composed. Keep in mind that he was full of crap and said nothing of substance, but his performance was better than Obama's.
Most of the time, that's all that is necessary. JFK vs. Nixon, Ford's misstatement, Dukakis's passionless response to a question about his wife being raped and murdered, HW Bush looking at his watch, Al Gore...well, just about everything in his debate performances...
The markets will tell more truth tomorrow with a massive rally, they have been going up all along because Wall Streeters and traders aren't dumb and they know the polls were rigged
There are plenty of teachers on Long island that make more than that. Some school administrators make 300k a year. Pensions too. His claim is accurate and far from ridiculous!
