And Obama has NOT given ANY specifics either except, "I'll raise taxes on the rich and that will take care of everything"!
If Obama was Pinocchio his nose would be about a foot long.
No, that distinction belongs to Romney. Who was pro-choice before he became pro-life who now "knows of no legislation he could support" (which means, he's off the hook if legislation is proposed); whose health insurance plan eliminated the preexisting problem until his handlers said it didn't; whose tax policies would cut taxes for all people before they now won't cut taxes for the top 1%, and on and on and on.
But, the American people don't pay attention to stuff like this. Judging from the Gallup national poll of LV showing 51/46 for Romney and Nate Silver's demeanor on The Cycle today, it appears Obama is in trouble. Today's WI poll now shows Obama/Romney tied here, as well.
I'm an Obama voter, but am not happy with the trend and the vibes I'm picking up. If that slimy, lying, sleazeball Romney wins, I'm done voting.
Oh poor Obama - he has to be handled with kid gloves - you can't be assertive or he and his supporters might get their lilul feewings hurt. waahhhhhh.....
What is the big deal, really? Romney was disrespectful but Obama stood up to him. So no biggie if you ask me. Now if Obama would have let Romney walk all over him, then it would be a different story.
He was not very civil. I have watched many debates and his performance was the most disrespectful and uncivilized that I have ever seen.
You have to keep in mind who his target audience is though, he is trying to appeal to the baser of the population. Judging by some of the comments. I think he succeeded there.
I agree, but Obama has always been an A-Hole trying to appeal to the baser of the population.
That is a fairly common right wing talking point. He is referring to a subtle distinction between a full-automatic and a semi-automatic. It is a gun geek thing, like the people that have strokes when someone calls a magazine a clip.
However, even on this point Romney was lying. Heavily regulated does not equal illegal.
Maybe this is what Obama needed. Obama seems to think that if he tries harder the GOP will eventually accept him. That is not going to happen, ever. Unemployment can drop to 4% and gas prices can drop to $2, many in the GOP will still disrespect Obama. Seems like he's finally realizing this.
It's actually quite a common misconception. I would bet most people think fully-automatic guns are illegal. So as much as I love catching Romney in a lie, I'd chalk this one up as uninformed.
