The overall U.S. economy still hasn't improved under Obama! That's why it's time for a change!

I assume that you are not voting for either candidate.

So, just put Romney & Ryan in office and see what they can accomplish in 4 years!
So, you're not reading any of the really good posts on this board which explain clearly what Obama has accomplished, one of which was specifically addressed to you, but, instead, you will continue to repeat the same mantra without data to support it?

The actual economic data disproves that. When Obama took office, the economy was in freefall, BEFORE any of his policies had been implemented. There have been, what, 45 months so far in this Obama administration. There have been 31 consecutive months of economic/job growth. That means that the first 14 months of the Obama administration was where the worst of the economic calamity was happening, coming out of the Bush administration. Therefore, it becomes clear that we were in the 2nd WORST RECESSION EVER in the US going into the Obama presidency, and, once Obama really began implementing his policies, the economy bottomed out a little over a year after he took office and has been improving steadily and consistently ever since.

Extra data: Even conservative economists who have gone back and looked at the historical data conclude that the WORST recessions that the US experience NECESSARILY have slow growth out of them, that it's only the minor ones, the typical business cycle ones, which show the booming growth rates coming out. Therefore, really with us having gone through not just a recession but the 2nd worst in our history, but now with consistent economic growth such that companies are making money hand over fist, THAT is data-driven evidence that Obama's policies HAVE worked to improve the American economy. They have also worked to make sure that more kids have access to the highest paying jobs in the American economy via Pell Grant expansion. College graduates have a much lower unemployment rate than the general population, and science and engineering college graduates have a lower unemployment rate (about 2%) than even the college graduate population collectively.

So not only does the data show that Obama's policies took the 2nd worst recession ever and turned it into consistent sustained economic and job growth, it also shows that it has allowed more kids ACCESS to the better paying jobs and lower unemployment categories that the American economy has to offer.

Interesting how actual data can dispell perception for those really looking for the truth of the matter. Obama has shown the American public that his policies HAVE worked to improve the American economy.

Very thoughtful of you. Clearly, it is not worth anyone's time to respond to you in any way. Your screen name is another great candidate for the ignore list.

Maybe he'll take a lesson from his father and go out and find some gay kid to take his frustration out on. Of course, he'll have to gather up four or five of his buddies to help him because we all know the Romney men aren't man enough to go one on one.

I've come to realize, as I am sure many of us have, that most of these so called Romney supporters know what a flim flam man he is, but will support anyone as long as it is a vote against Obama. There's also the group that like the idea of a Plutocracy for some strange deep seated psychological need of worshipping the wealthy.
You summed it ALL up very well.

So, in other words, Willard is trying to take credit for something that is predicted to happen anyway.

What a fraud.

Of course, when Obama is firmly entrenched in his second term, and those 12 million predicted jobs have occurred, will Willard (or any other republi-CON) give the President credit?

Yep! I have not heard Obama call him out on this unless I just missed it, but then again, his lies come out so rapidly that his mouth should be registered as an automatic weapon.

The main problem with Romney's vague and unspecified jobs plan has been the fact that the economy is on track to create 12 million jobs between 2012 and 2016 anyway. It makes this a pretty weak promise as campaign boasts go.

But to his credit, Glenn Kessler dug a little deeper, and discovered the Romney campaign's central argument is based on a shameless lie.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but why does it always seem like the GOP side these days ain't exactly among the sharpest tacks in the box?! Geez, Bill Buckley must be rolling over in his grave!
